Wilson County Convention & Visitor's Bureau

A Toast to Tennessee” Wine Festival is held on the third Saturday in May at Nashville Shores and features over 15 wineries from all across the State of Tennessee, along with dozens of fine artisans and specialty food vendors. Both wineries and specialty food vendors provided plenty of free samples. Hundreds of wonderful wines were available for tasting and for purchase. This event includes live music, wine-related seminars, and free lake cruises.

Breeden's Orchard & Pie Kitchen, 631 Beckwith Road, Mt. Juliet, 449-2880, is a working orchard that offers both "pick your own" or pre-picked fruits. Be sure to visit the pie kitchen to bring home a fresh pie or homemade jellies.

Cedars of Lebanon State Park, 443-2769, a 1000-acre park located in a dense cedar forest, offers camping and cabins for rent, as well as picnic and meeting facilities, horseback riding, an olympic size swimming pool, disc golf, lighted tennis courts, and miles of hiking trails.

Charlie Daniels Park, Charlie Daniels Parkway, Mt. Juliet, 758-6522, includes a community center, walking track, tennis courts, sand volleyball, an amphitheater and a 25,000 square-foot play park.

Excursion Train, 220 Willow Street, Nashville, 244-9001, offers rides to Watertown, where you can visit shops and enjoy a meal. Trips include re-enactments of a train robbery, murder mystery train rides, the Mile Long Yard Sale, and more. Call for schedule, departure times and dates.

Fiddlers Grove Historic Village, James E. Ward Agricultural Center, 945 Baddour Pkwy, Lebanon, 449-9077, captures what life was like during the turn of the century in Wilson County. The historical village consists of over 30, which include a functioning gift and refreshment shop. Tours are available.

Long Hunter State Park, 885-2422, just south of Mt. Juliet and situated on J. Percy Priest Lake, features boating, sailing, fishing, hiking, picknicking, camping, swimming and wildlife observation.

Providence MarketPlace is 830,000 square feet of retail space is anchored by Target, JCPenney, Belk, Kroger, Providence Cinemas, Joann Fabrics, Dick Sporting Goods, PetsMart, Old Navy, Chick-Fil-A, Logan's Roadhouse and many more!

Nashville Superspeedway, 4874-F McCrary Road, Lebanon, 726-1818, hosts over 40,000 fans at races four times a year at the 1.33 mile oval track. Races include two NASCAR Busch Series races, a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Race and an Indy race.

The Don Yahola Memorial POW WOW is held in September and draws visitors from all over the United States. It has been selected by the Southeastern Tourism Bureau as a top 20 event - and includes activities such as storytelling, ethnic foods, arts & crafts, a colorful parade, and a dance competition.

Prime Outlets, One Outlet Village Boulevard, Lebanon, 444-0433, with over 60 brand name merchants, distinctive amenities and a comfortable setting, this is a popular destination for the area's 8 million visitors each year.

Providence 14 opened in June of 2006 at Providence MarketPlace. This megaplex offers state-of-the-art and innovative stadium seating, digital sound, wall-to-wall screens and gourmet concessions. The luxury theatres offer many amenities and first class service.

The Roxy Theater in Lebanon opened in the fall of 2004 and has 10 stadium seating theaters. Check out their website for movie schedules and directions.

Stardust Drive-In Theatre, Purple Tiger Drive, Watertown, 237-0077, is an outdoor drive-in movie theater which shows first run movies on the big screen in the comfort of your car.

The Wilson County Fair attracts more than 300,000 people each August for nine days of fun at the 240-acre James E. Ward Agricultural Center. Entertainment ranges from automobile giveaways and banjo-picking contests to demolition derbies and barbeque cook-offs, photography contests, wine tasting, Civil War re-enactments, tractor pulls, a midway carnival and nonstop musical entertainment.
