Ace Hardware has a little digital calendar sitting by the cash register that counts down the days until Christmas. This weekend, I was shocked to see that there were only 26 days left until Christmas and was constantly surprised at the number of people who remarked on this as they were checking out. I guess even though it’s the end of November and December is just around the corner, the fact that the Christmas season is now less than 30 days away is mindboggling.
I recently saw a quote that said…“If it weren’t for the last minute, a lot of things wouldn’t get done.” Maybe this is why we get overwhelmed at the idea of the holiday season. With so much to do and so little time, it’s difficult to enjoy ourselves. And in this economy, it’s stressful to think of celebrating Christmas on a budget. Therefore, I’ve come up with some great ideas for last minute inexpensive gift ideas for friends, family or co-workers.
There are hundreds of great gifts that can be purchased or made by hand for under $10, gifts that are both thoughtful and frugal at the same time. Put them in an inexpensive basket or wrap with a pretty ribbon and you'll truly have a beautiful gift--without breaking the bank! These gifts are great for any occasion all throughout the year and also make great hostess gifts during the holidays.

I know you've probably heard it before but it's really true that you don't have to spend a lot of money to find that perfect gift for someone. Our loved ones appreciate our time and love more than anything. It's not the amount of money you spend for a gift that matters the most, but that you cared enough to give something special. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas! |
